Real and Unique Direct Trade Options

The true meaning of direct trade and bean-to-bar maker is that the chocolate maker purchases the beans directly from a farmer and also is involved in all the parts of the process to the final products.

However, it is very difficult to build these relationships in foreign countries, ha ving a language and cultural barrier, and additionally distinguishing real farmers from exporters and middlemen within the same origin.  Buying from anyone that claims transparency yet uses their own exporters and organizations to bring you these cacao beans is not the same as you sourcing directly, but just the same as using a regular trader.

Thus, with CocoaSupply, you can come to Ecuador and meet, talk, and negotiate with any farmer of your choice and not pre-selected by our company. We will give you options, but in the end, you may choose which farmer you want to work with, and you can purchase directly from them and create a long-lasting relationship that will make a difference in their communities.

After you purchased the beans of your choice, we will bring these under your supervision to our own factory, Chocolatier S.A. in Duran, Ecuador.. You may set up a production date and be present,  set parameters, and be the chocolate maker in charge with our engineers and production manager.

We will then set up the logistics to the USA or Europe by sending them in our shared containers to minimize the cost, take care of the customs clearance, and help you arrange an  LTL to your final destination. By producing in origin, you save more than 25% of waste being shipped with fossil fuels across the world. This is another step to sustainability.

You make the trade, you turn the bean into a bar, and you receive your product. Can it be more direct?

***Please note we only provide this service to chocolate makers only, or anyone using the products made for retail. There is a minimum order of 2000 kg (4400 lb). For fewer quantities, we have other options available. This is our commitment to helping bridge the distance, and to connect farmers and chocolate makers to work hand-in-hand.

Starting as Farmers and Keeping True to or Roots

Our family's cacao story started in the 1800's with a Dr. Huerta following Mr. J to the remote and virgin land that is nowadays known as Catarama, Ecuador.
